JANUARY, 2008 UPDATES
31-Jan-2008: Today's Daily Toon/graphic/art-crap pays homage to a very excellent source of free fonts: 1001Fonts.com. I've had 15 fonts listed there for a few years now; all the same ones ready available on my FONTS page. Apparently the one named after my ex-wife is the highest-rated, most downloaded one among mine. Oh well.

I have a design for a new one called "Queen Kitty" but never got around to finding a font design program for OS X. Anybody recommend a decent freeware/shareware one?

29-Jan-2008: I do so enjoy taking these old 20+ year-old comics out of storage and updating them. Today's Daily Comic "Mighty Hamster" was originally drawn during my junior year of high school, during chemistry class if I recall. And the only other thing I recall from that class is a bunch of C's and D's.

22-Jan-2008: Chow down on this delicious new WCCC COMIC, the first one of the year. Who doesn't like donuts, after all?

21-Jan-2008: Can't afford a $5000 amplifier? I've added a bright yellow FU**ING FU**ER T-SHIRT to my shop, just for you!

16-Jan-2008: All is revealed about the new Metasonix project I worked on last month: it's an ultra-boutique 23-tube guitar amp selling for $5000! Best (or worst) of all is the name, the G-1000 FU**ING FU**ER! Check out my Metasonix page for the rest of the sordid (not worksafe) details.

UPDATE 1/20: Here's a pretty funny video over on Sonic State with Eric demonstrating the amp. He doesn't seem to like going to NAMM very much, but I dunno. Looks to me like he's having a blast soaking up all the reactions this little yellow bitch is getting. :o)

11-Jan-2008: A brief backstory note today about these "Kiss Story" Daily Comics. From time to time I scan in old cartoons that my brother Steve created back in 1978 (when he was 11 years old), and then I "embellish" them for contemporary consumption here. This consumption can lead to some serious gastric side effects, so please consider yourself at risk. Anyway, this time out I unearthed some pretty amazing-looking synth rigs he drew. Most amazing of all is how little either one of us knew about synths back then; being a Peter Criss fan, he primarily made these toons as an excuse to draw drums and spaceships.

9-Jan-2008: I turn 38 years old today. Whoopidee doopidee.

2-Jan-2008: Beginning yesterday I've been leaking teaser images of art I produced for an upcoming Metasonix product, which will be revealed later on this month. This might interest you if you're an eccentric musician interested in the types of noisemaking, tube-driven oddities that this company is so fond of unleashing. Or maybe you're just a pervert into this lowly level of would-be art. Or hey, maybe you're just bored. For whatever reason, enjoy the images & maybe even try to figure out their meaning.

1-Jan-2008: HAPPY 2008! For the short time being, the Daily Comics Calendar will only have 2008 links. The 2007 calendar will be viewable again soon (er... somehow); until then, you have to hit the "last" button repeatedly until you get to the desired day. PHP pages don't write themselves ya know, and my buddy Ferris is up to his assneck in more important stuff these days. Stay tuned & everything shall be improved soon. Until then, the toons will continue!
