RUMMAGER Drawn 1993, adapted 2002
FREQUENCY: Rare |
Lost, mutated souls, the Rummager is a lone explorer of an area a few miles in radius around his secretly kept habitat. This three-limbed scavenger
lairs in a filthy nest of found treasures (often worthless, but sometimes not) and as protective of it as a frothing mother wolverine is of her cubs.
Rummagers don't typically attack even if starving, but rather wait in the shadows and pick the crumbs left behind. If forced to defend itself or its hoard, it claws with both its forearms (1-3), and also its "facearm" which is actually twice as strong (1-6). They have excellent INFRA- and ULTRAVISION (90' for both), and can never be surprised. It can also blend well in its surroundings, HIDING IN SHADOWS as a 15th level Thief/Assassin. It cannot easily be seen, but its foul odor is easily detectable by all. Sloppy characters leaving behind anything in their wake may end up being followed around by a Rummager for quite some time. |
