Korg TR-61

MY RATING:

CHANCES OF SELLING:
NONE FOR NOW

UPDATE 10/14/2019: This could very well be the least-interesting synthesizer I've ever owned. And, just like a lot things that don't have amazing outward appearances, it has been an extremely vital part of nearly every live rig, ever since I bought it new in 2005. And without any expensive Nords or Hammonds left in my possession, it's all I have left for semi-realistic organs and pianos. Still, the synth brass is as close to the big sound of ELP I've ever had, and the leads are searing. It's the classic TR (Triton, Trinity, etc.) engine going back to the '90s, and the same engine as the Korg Karma, another keyboard I owned for a few months at some point in the '10s.

I've owned a lot of pretty exciting synths, but they all turned out to be flashes in the pan. This one outlived them all because it's just so damned useful, and sounds amazing in most live mixes.
